trip to bukit tinggit

trip to bukit tinggi on 1st febuary 2007

Our first convoy for the year 2007 was on 1st February. We went to Bukit Tinggi. Yeah, this the trip that made its way into SHIFT magazine. A total of 14 made the trip. Integra from 3 generations. Hell, it was our biggest convoy.

Yeah, we proceed through Karak Highway with the speed limit set by our convoy leader.

Check out more about the trip in SHIFT magazine for the February issue.

OU road show

road show at OU on 26th january

The 1st event after the New Year. One of our member has to handle his company’s booth at a road show in One Utama. We just went there to check out the scene.

There was a course set up for autokhana. I had my 1st taste of how autokhana is like that night. Conclusion, guys, FF with long wheelbase, not that nice to play autokhana. I only managed to ‘power slide’ around the corners. With an amoi inside (the event organizer). This is because “other” people don’t want to drive their cars around the track with an amoi inside. (yeah! U know who u are). But I bet those FR cars would do great here.

We, who were there even managed to persuade kiat to try the course as well.

After getting a go at the course, we made our way to Aman Suria to enjoy some Nescafe.

ulu yam uphill... the road was damn good!

On 17th December, we managed to organize another fast paced convoy. This time, to Ulu Yam. Taking the old trunk road up to Genting Sempah. The road was in good condition. It was an early Sunday morning convoy. There was not much traffic.

This time, everybody showed their skills at tackling corners. The road was a bit wet due to the rain earlier that morning. No pod holes sighted. So, I can say almost every body experienced a little slide during the trip. But a little power slide doesn’t hurt anybody.

We had lunch at Genting Sempah. Then we thought that we wanted to go ‘mandi’ at the waterfalls on the way back. But it was already past noon and there were a lot of families there. So, scrap that idea, we went straight back home. But in a more slow paced drive.

initial d style uphill to genting

On 2nd December, we managed to organize our 3rd convoy. This time, to Genting Highlands. The meet-up point is at Aman Suria. From there we proceed towards Karak highway via the LDP highway. A total of 8 cars joined the convoy that night. It was a high-paced initial D style uphill.

It was a foggy night. But a least we’ve manage to reach the top safely. Well, I get to test my newly installed EBC brake kit. Upon reaching the top we went to enjoy supper. After loafing around for some time, we decided to go back home. The downhill experience isn’t that high paced as we were concern about safety 1st. Not everyone is good at downhill.

Overall, it was another successful convoy. And the 1st of our fast paced convoy series.

our 2nd convoy

On 9th September, we managed to organize our 2nd convoy. The meet-up point was mamak HSBC at PJ New Town. From there we made our way to the national auditorium near Dang Wangi.

While getting our cars parked, a patrol car came along. The policemen were checking whether we have unpaid summons as they see we were in a group.

After the ruckus, we made our way to Hartamas to enjoy dinner at Burger King. The convoy was a success. But I think we need walkie – talkies for the next convoy.

And that way the 1st and the last convoy that we’ll plan to go into KL.

The biggest integra meeting yet!

On September 18th 2006, itrdc2 from Speed Youth organized a mega gathering for all the integra owners. This meeting saw integra owners from 3 active clubs sitting around together. Those present were from Teggerz, HCOC and Speed Youth themselves.

Teggerz was like the new bloods while HCOC was like the old timers. Meanwhile, Speed Youth has a variety of makes in the group. I was glad that the meeting came through as it was kind of hard to gather all the integra owners together. It was a good meeting. Us, young fellas get to learn a lot from the old timers. At least we know that there are a lot of other integra owners out there.

All together, there were 19 integras that came to the meeting. It was a successful meeting that was organize by itrdc2.
