trip to bukit tinggit

trip to bukit tinggi on 1st febuary 2007

Our first convoy for the year 2007 was on 1st February. We went to Bukit Tinggi. Yeah, this the trip that made its way into SHIFT magazine. A total of 14 made the trip. Integra from 3 generations. Hell, it was our biggest convoy.

Yeah, we proceed through Karak Highway with the speed limit set by our convoy leader.

Check out more about the trip in SHIFT magazine for the February issue.

OU road show

road show at OU on 26th january

The 1st event after the New Year. One of our member has to handle his company’s booth at a road show in One Utama. We just went there to check out the scene.

There was a course set up for autokhana. I had my 1st taste of how autokhana is like that night. Conclusion, guys, FF with long wheelbase, not that nice to play autokhana. I only managed to ‘power slide’ around the corners. With an amoi inside (the event organizer). This is because “other” people don’t want to drive their cars around the track with an amoi inside. (yeah! U know who u are). But I bet those FR cars would do great here.

We, who were there even managed to persuade kiat to try the course as well.

After getting a go at the course, we made our way to Aman Suria to enjoy some Nescafe.

teh tarik on a rainy nite...

just ' lepak'ing with nothing to do on a rainy nite on 14th january

ulu yam uphill... the road was damn good!

On 17th December, we managed to organize another fast paced convoy. This time, to Ulu Yam. Taking the old trunk road up to Genting Sempah. The road was in good condition. It was an early Sunday morning convoy. There was not much traffic.

This time, everybody showed their skills at tackling corners. The road was a bit wet due to the rain earlier that morning. No pod holes sighted. So, I can say almost every body experienced a little slide during the trip. But a little power slide doesn’t hurt anybody.

We had lunch at Genting Sempah. Then we thought that we wanted to go ‘mandi’ at the waterfalls on the way back. But it was already past noon and there were a lot of families there. So, scrap that idea, we went straight back home. But in a more slow paced drive.

initial d style uphill to genting

On 2nd December, we managed to organize our 3rd convoy. This time, to Genting Highlands. The meet-up point is at Aman Suria. From there we proceed towards Karak highway via the LDP highway. A total of 8 cars joined the convoy that night. It was a high-paced initial D style uphill.

It was a foggy night. But a least we’ve manage to reach the top safely. Well, I get to test my newly installed EBC brake kit. Upon reaching the top we went to enjoy supper. After loafing around for some time, we decided to go back home. The downhill experience isn’t that high paced as we were concern about safety 1st. Not everyone is good at downhill.

Overall, it was another successful convoy. And the 1st of our fast paced convoy series.

our 2nd convoy

On 9th September, we managed to organize our 2nd convoy. The meet-up point was mamak HSBC at PJ New Town. From there we made our way to the national auditorium near Dang Wangi.

While getting our cars parked, a patrol car came along. The policemen were checking whether we have unpaid summons as they see we were in a group.

After the ruckus, we made our way to Hartamas to enjoy dinner at Burger King. The convoy was a success. But I think we need walkie – talkies for the next convoy.

And that way the 1st and the last convoy that we’ll plan to go into KL.

The biggest integra meeting yet!

On September 18th 2006, itrdc2 from Speed Youth organized a mega gathering for all the integra owners. This meeting saw integra owners from 3 active clubs sitting around together. Those present were from Teggerz, HCOC and Speed Youth themselves.

Teggerz was like the new bloods while HCOC was like the old timers. Meanwhile, Speed Youth has a variety of makes in the group. I was glad that the meeting came through as it was kind of hard to gather all the integra owners together. It was a good meeting. Us, young fellas get to learn a lot from the old timers. At least we know that there are a lot of other integra owners out there.

All together, there were 19 integras that came to the meeting. It was a successful meeting that was organize by itrdc2.

our biggest gathering yet.

on 9th september, on a sunday evening, we've had another gathering. this time around, we managed to collect 13 cars. well, compared to our previous gatherings, this is the largest number that had came out for a gathering.

at this point, tombstone has sold his car. the new owner of the DA6 fauzi, came out to join us as he has little knowledge about the vtecs and integras. he's one of our youngest members.

tokokman, a friend of integramania's from his old HCOC days, also came for this gathering.

i guess the number grew for this gathering as many members was envious of the pictures taken from our last gathering. the pictures were like a "get away from the screen and come and join us for teh tarik session" message.

just a relaxing sunday at the mamak

we had another 'tt session' on the 28th of august 2006. nothing much to do on that day. so everybody decided to come out and lepak at aman suria. other than that, we tried to take more artistic shots of our cars.

our 1st convoy attempt

on august 13th, 2006, we managed to organize a convoy to putrajaya. since integramania has making a lot of noise about when we will have one, we decided, why not try it? so on that fateful evening (quite a hot one too), a number of 9 members showed up. including this 1 member who has been bit**ing about the convoy and came late.
we started out from the shell station in front of Giant KJ taking the LDP to Putrajaya. as we reached the sunway toll, i guess a lot of the members realised that we should have bought walkie-talkies for events like this. the sunway toll made the group seperated as those who were paying with cash were left behid as there were a lot of cars going through the toll. but the group were reunited before we reached the Putrajaya toll.
after the putrajaya toll, it was a wide and clear strech of road for everybody to test their cars. we who went for the convoy knows who were the ones who 'perang' while heading to Putrajaya. thanx to some skilled members, we didn't have any problems with the authority or what so ever. i mean 9 integras on a convoy. would you believed it if we said we only drove at 90km/h?

our 'like magazine took picture' gathering

on 6th August 2006, we had another gathering at aman suria. nothing much, just 'minum teh' and talking about nothing in particular. then almostevo popped out an idea about a photoshoot. he suggested a place that'll look good in the pictures. those who went home early that day were disapointed when they looked at the pictures taken. have a look and judge them yourself...

p/s: mesh's 'ekzos perang' was proved to be very loud as on the way there, kiat lost sight of the convoy in front of him. he said, "can hear mesh exhaust. so just follow the exhaust sound la.." hahahaha.. =p

the DC/DB affair...

we had another gathering on 27th July 2006. this gathering was dubbed "the DC/DB affair" because there we no DA gang around. we had 3 new members today. thanx to our very own 'star recruiter' matt =) shah and helme were spotted and recruited by matt single-handedly around subang. helme had many years of experience of playing with cars and vtec cars as he was the oldest amongst us. his experience proves to benifited us a lot. from parts searching down right to simple maintenance. shah was a lone ranger dc2 around subang. then there was also lykiat, who was recruited by integramania.

a gathering at extreme park sunway

we had another gathering on 9th July 2006. this is it was at extreme park, sunway. we had another new member for this gathering. mesh, who was recruited by integramania. mesh, who owns 1 one of the 'kereta perang' in our little gang with his 'exhaust perang'. rin was there on that evening. with mesh's car as an example, we at last, know how what those punched numbers at the block of the engine means. well, good knowledge. mesh also learnt the true origins of his car on that fateful evening.

our 1st gathering at aman suria

we held our fisrt gathering in aman suria on the 11th June 2006. this was the 1st time that we held a gathering here due to it's large parking space.that day, we've met a new member, rin, who happpens to have a lot of technical knowledge about hondas. rin was a friend of integramania from his HCOC days. this was the start of the growing numbers of the 2nd generation of integras in our little gang.

after the 1st gathering, comes the 2nd

after the 1st gathering, comes the 2nd. this time, on the 4th june 2006, the other founder members couldn't make it. since i started the posting, i have to come to meet new members that came all the way from cheras and subang. that day, i was coming back from a trip to PD.

then was when TM01 and kent75 join the gang. not forgeting to mention mattdc2 who was soon to become our 'star recruiter' as he was the one who managed to recruit a lot of the existing members today with his very attention grabbing methods of recruiting other '1 man show' integra owners.

p/s:from this point onwards, i've become the unofficial cameraman as i was armed with a very good camera that was bought in japan. thanks to the japs! hahahah!

how it all began...

it was the 13th of may 2005 that i received a personal message from integramania informing that there will be an integra owner gathering tomorrow. so, on that sunday, the 14th of may 2005 i and my senior, ah tung went to the astaka field in pj. there, we met with integramania who has been waiting for about 15 minutes for us. then came along tombstone and AlmostEvo.

from that day, there was a plan to gather other integra owners around klang valley. integramania was from HCOC. he said that the integra owners from HCOC were not that active anymore and he wanted that this time around he wanted to make this 'thing' big. from then, i've dream to make this 'thing' big too. it's like i was showered with ideas but didn't know where to start. that was the starting of a new integra owners circle...

a birth of a new blog

well i'm posting this because it seems that it has already took us a lot of time to come out with a website. maybe a blog will be sufficient for now.

as the topis, i like to dedicate this blog as a 'show off' medium or more of as an expression, in the world of internet about a little group that groups honda's famous coupe, the integra. this little group gathers integra owners, mostly around klang valley, as we wanted to be an active group and not just some group that get together and sit at mamak stalls drinking teh tarik. like the words of a member, "asyik minum air susu jer. lame² buncit la perut".

sitting around discussing modifications that has been done to our cars is a usual topic when drinking teh tarik together. for as far as i know every member of this little cirlce has the lust for power. 'ni mmg sume org x bley tipu ar'. but hey i think almost every car enthusiast has a lust for power from their car.
